CAUSE FOR APPLAUSE

John Anderson
David Lloyd
Jack Martin

All to often ears tire from some good intentioned musician type artistically thumbing their pud. No such stroking here! CFA bombards you with succint numbers of quirky rock & roll that has one (nay, thousands!) dancing a flail and chanting a garble! Fear and apprehension in hand with all hipe and optimism bleed from Lloyd's lungs while the group as a whole maintains a hopscotch martini glass swagger. Rolling and barbed, this burgeoning trio hold sway most in their employment of FUN! FUN! FUN!

The Cause for Applause EP, 5 songs less than 12 minutes, and more energy per square inch than a proton accelerator. It's a power trio record that recalls The Fall of Richard Hell (among other punk heroes) while suggesting something immediate and distinctly of the present tense. In the past few months CFA has shared the stage with such acts and The Kills, Yeah Yeah Yeah's and the Boggs. Expect big things.

David Lloyd a 3 year NYC resident has played with several bands in the area, primarily a 1 year stint with the Boggs. Started recording own songs in late 2002. David accidentally formed a band through the recording process, thus CFA.

Jack Martin; having played in The Honeymood Killers, Little Porkchop and The Knoxville Girls (to name a few), Martin has rooted himself in New York infamy. Jack still plays with Kid Cong Powers in The Pink Monkey Birds as well as leading his own 'gipsy jazz' group Dime Store Dance Band. Jack is also credited for his writing participation on the first YYY's EP.

John Anderson. Best known for his time with the young band, Boys Life, John has spawned much of the maps since. Most recently Anderson has made two albums with the Higher Burning Fire and one with Matt Suggs.
